YSSE: An organization of Youth Empowerment facilitation
Working credibility is one of the basic standards recruiters search for in a person in today’s job world. As credibility building is one of the biggest challenges, Bangladeshi youth are meeting unemployment problems. To solve this hurdle, The Youth School for Social Entrepreneurs (YSSE), a youth-led non-profit organization took initiatives for the advancement of juvenility with entrepreneurial motivation.
This organization promotes social entrepreneurship by fostering youth as social entrepreneurs to create positive social and environmental changes through their innovative ideas and actions. Since its establishment, YSSE is dedicatedly serving to eradicate poverty by solving the youth unemployment problem through empowering youth and women.
With the mission of creating large scale job opportunities through social entrepreneurship by conducting all the necessary measures (training, counseling, monitoring, etc.) and the vision of ensuring employment and equity for youth, YSSE has now become the most promising and only youth organization for social entrepreneurs. As the concept of social entrepreneurship was completely new a few years back, it was hard for them to promote this idea in the beginning.
YSSE has 4 “Theory of Change”. They promote social entrepreneurship and encourage youth to solve social problems through their annotative notions and activities. In this process, they foster youth as entrepreneurship. They instruct them through boot camp, workshops, and training. Not to mention, they also provide mentorship and consultancy services.
This generation can bring notable changes in society through their actions. But the change will not come without solving the unemployment problem. And so, YSSE is providing the youth that platform to bring the change. They are working to reduce the unemployment pace by promoting social entrepreneurship and by providing direct assistance. Promoting social entrepreneurship to create a sustainable job market is one of the best strategies. Thus, YSSE prepares the youth to improve their critical thinking, solve complex problems, and work in a team. Moreover, YSSE assists the newly enlisted trainee to be social entrepreneurs.
